Our 11th Year of Togetherness

It is said that marriages are made in heaven and celebrated on earth. The popular belief is true to many extent, because it is a special bond shared between two souls, who tie the wedding knot after promising to be companions for a lifetime. It is the physical, mental and spiritual unison of two souls. It brings significant stability and substance to human relationships, which is otherwise incomplete. It plays a crucial role in transferring the culture and civilization from one generation to the other, so that the human race is prospered. The institution of marriage is beneficial to the society as a whole, because it is the foundation of the family, which in turn is the fundamental building block of the society.

The key to successful marriage is love, understanding, mutual respect, trust, commitment and togetherness. While many couples are able to find all the key ingredients in their marital relationships, others find one element or more lacking in their bond. This gives rise to consequences that are not always expected, or desired. This is a reason why a number of couples face adverse consequences, like divorce. One of the visible reasons why married couples find marriage as an intimidating bond is that they face a number of problems, while being in the relationship. Lack of trust, mutual respect, love and understanding contribute to the deterioration of the bond.

A New Age of Home Fragrance

I went window shopping last night until morning. It was my first time ever having fun with my friends walking all over the different outlets in Castle Rock. The black Friday sales started at 10:00 PM and I can't believe in my two eyes the traffic in four directions going to the outlet mall. It was a cold night last night but people were there despite of the drastic and cold weather. Some of the shoppers even had their little babies and toddlers with them.

Everywhere we go, we have to hardle the long line in paying what we bought and there were even stores that you can't get in and have to wait in line to buy the goodies that you want. They only allowed five people per time increment. It was unbelievable line!

I do like shopping on Black Friday because of the fun we have with friends, great deals and savings but looking on the other side, it's time consuming. Not good for a busy working Mom.

Anyway, I was looking for some aroma reed diffuser in the store as a Christmas presents for my Hubby. He loves those romantic fragrances in our very own home. He's a candle and oil lover fragrances.

He always likes to light up a candle when taking his bath and oh...the smell, its just all over our house.

Last night, I thought I can find one that soothes to my husband's liking but I came home empty-handed. I was too tired to stand that long in a very long line.

Just as I got home and after taking for about four hours of nap, I was browsing the internet and found this exciting website that I'm looking for. It's called sabonnyc.com. They have all the organic products from delicate herbs and botanicals whisper the secrets to longevity and perfect health. It is through these marvels of aromatherapy, that they are able to offer an experience of serenity to the mind.

Wow! Im glad I found this place online for my Hubby's needs. To add more, they have lots and lots of selections of bath products too and all from oragnic made.

I love shopping online aside from my mall hopping therapy. Check it out for yourselves with all the natural products that they have from aroma reed diffuser, bath needs, skin care, beauty products and fragrances.

It wasn't my birthday yet but I was being included with the November friendship celebrants. Cheers!

What a surprise in my part. That's what friends are for talaga...what can I say?

Without much ado, here's our 3-in-1 Birthday Celebration photos hosted and held at Urien's residence.

WHAT I AM THANKFUL FOR...

Happy Thanksgiving!

I love Thanksgiving. Not for the food, though for a fat woman like me, the food is awfully good. No, I like it because it lets us review our year, our life, our situations. Thanksgiving motivates us (or some of us) to consider what is worthy of being thankful for.

I am thankful for so much:

I am thankful that I have a God who I can depend on, that even though I cannot physically see Him, I see His presence so clearly in my life.  I have a God who is alive and able and answers prayer. And I have the blessed assurance that even though things do not turn out the way I hope, I have faith that ALL things will work together for the best for me and my family.

I am thankful for the up and downs, high and lows, because with out them, I wouldn't appreciate what life truly has in store for me.

I am thankful for all the blessings that me and my family have received from God specially having my husband, parents, siblings, in-laws and my daughter. They  have showed me with their lives how to be a mom.  Our lives have been challenging sometimes but God always has a plan for us.  I have learned that we have to trust on Him no matter what and believe that there is always a reason why things happens in our lives. We just have to stay close to God and love Him.........

I am thankful for my relationship with God, and His divine plan and purpose that He has for me. I am thankful and blessed for the family I have, and the great friends that are in my life. I am thankful for my home, job, health, the pastors at my church.

You know, I am thankful for each waking day. There is so much to be thankful for: the beautiful painted sky, the sunshine, colored leaves, etc. There is just so much to be thankful for, and it all starts with the glory and grace of God. I am thankful to be the person I am today for which God has shaped me, and I am thankful for all the things that He teaches me and the people's lives that He brings me to.  Left hugRight hug

I'm thankful for my friends. Nobody has better friends than me. OK, your friends might be as good as mine, but they're not better!

I am most thankful for God in my life and having a loving husband during these uncertain times.  Even during what are tough times for us right now, I know God is always with us and providing inspiration every day.  My husband and I have really come together even more than usual and find the little things in life mean so much more now.  We are truly bonded in our love for each other and thankful to be able to still see the wonderful humor in life.

I am so blessed and thankful for our health. God really take care of us and wants us to be in our best of health. He's always there to save us. Thank you, Jesus! What a miracle!

All in all, when I count my blessings, I have more to be thankful for than worried over. Plus, I have God to hand over my worries to; they're His headache, not mine..just kidding!  Oh....and He ALWAYS deals with them....in His own time, in His own way, but ALWAYS for the best.

I have so much to be thankful for, not only on Thanksgiving, but everyday!

Our Girl's 1st Pictorial

As you can see, I took/take lots and lots of pictures of our girl. It's nice to see all her photos from my womb up to the present situation...wink!

Anyway, today will be her 1st professional pictorial in the school where she's going to. I'm sure this is just the beginning and for sure every year we will get one. It's just the trend here in America. It's up to us, as a parent whether to get one or not but who would want to miss those growing up years with your child? Not me...I want to collect every memorable moments of her life and photograph is one of the best.

I will be kind of busy today. A friend from the Philippines will be coming to our house tonight. She got married last Friday in California where supposedly Hubby and I will be one of the sponsors and Angelina will be one of the flower girls. There's a lot of reasons why we can't go but the vital one is my FIL's situation. Now that he's alert and aware of his ssurroundings, we have to visit him every day and encourage him to talk so he can go home soon.

To be a sponsor or nor, a flower girl or what...it's not a big deal and my friend really understand our situations. I'm not that kind of person who is in cloud 9 when someone makes me special. I even told my friend you can get Rich and Angelina but not me...wink! It's just my personality. Our doormates who live in San Diego as well didn't make it to the wedding due to stomach flu. Glad that the newly wed came by to Beambelle's place.

Tomorrow, will be another event in our girl's school. They will have a Thanksgiving Dinner. I signed up to bring some fruit trays since I don't know how to cook that giant Turkey...lol! Hubby and I will attend the said party as a support to our 4 year old active toddler.

Got to go and have a joyous Tuesday!

Getting Ready For Thanksgiving Groceries

Hubby and I were looking at the adds this morning for groceries. We had found all three stores that offered great deals on some grocery item that's in my Hubby's list.

Hubby will be in-charged for the Thanksgiving dinner preparation. This morning, he was asking me if we can go to the store and buy the stuff that he needs. I was kind of lazy to move and kind of sleepy. I told him if he can go by himself. Someone volunteered to accompany him and no other than our Angelina. She always has this Yakult Energy...lol!

After I gave her breakfast, off they went to the store. Yeah, Hubby don't want to rusle-dazzle in the store for the last minute shopping. As usual, the store will be packed of people. Besides, he got some coupon and great savings for what he needs. Thank you to all the adds that comes in our mail on Wednesday.

While the father and daughter were gone, Ma and I are busy putting up some simple Christmas decorations in our abode while Pa's vacuuming. We just want the spirit of Christmas inside our house so, decorating it with simplicity is worth it.

After a while, Rich and Angelina came home with all the handy-dandy groceries in their hands.

"Mama, we buy the biggest Turkey in the store, it's naked and ready to cook," her news to me right away. "It's so heavy and I can't carry it by myself."

Dada and I were just laughing. I asked Dada if Angelina was giving him a hard time in the store.

"No, she was very behave in the store and so happy to be with her Dada," hubby's reply.

For our lunch, Hubby brought some Burrito's from Taco John's so, I didn't have the chance to eat my rice. Since Ma and Pa don't give up on their rice thingy, they didn't get the Burrito at all. We let them tried to taste different kind of food but still it's hard on their stomach, that's according to "them".

Well, Hubby and I can relate living in our country Philippines for 70 years...lol!

Trying Hard To Lose Some Belly Fat?

I've heard from a source that someone is on a diet pills just so she can show off to her friends. Does fatness really depress someone and can cause inferiority and insecurity complex? Based from the concensus, yes! A lot of people specially women are trying hard to lose those belly fats.

So, are you one of those who are struggling to lose those belly fat for years? It seems  belly fat, potbelly, beer belly or more affectionately, love handles are becoming a problem for more people these days. Apart from our biological make up, today's lifestyle can have a great impact on the amount of weight we carry. More and more people are stuck behind a desk for longer hours with less time for exercise.

You have to get up and move. I am not suggesting you run a marathon but some properly controlled movement is essential. Jogging and running has been proven  to be effective. Nor is doing 100's of crunches or sit-ups. Yes, crunches and sit up will strengthen your abs but will not remove the layer of fat covering them and in fact increasing these muscles without removing the fat may actually make this area look bigger.

Buying or hiring expensive weight reducing or abdominal exercise equipment is a waste of your hard-earned money. But using a combination of interval and resistance training is ideal as is a martial arts class such as kickboxing, karate, or kung fu. By using the tips in the Essential Guide to Lose belly Fat and taking these positive steps, you will not only make you feel great by improving your health and fitness levels but will also improve your overall appearance as well as shifting that stubborn unhealthy belly fat to reveal those wonderful strong abs.

Another Victory For Pacquiao Versus Cotto

Hubby purchased the PayPerView so Pa can watch the ultimate fight of our kumpareng Manny. My dearest Father is a boxing fanatic and as a reward of his being a good father, we let him enjoy what he wants as long as we can afford...$50.00 wasn't bad at all instead of going to Vegas. We thought it was the right time for us to go and watch the real fight inside the ring. Too bad, it's snowing really bad in the mountain where it's the way going to Sin City.

Our other choice was to stay home for the weekend and just watch over HBO, hmmmm...I saved some money though. The cheapest ticket was close to $400.00/person. To gamble or not, it wasn't mean to be...wink! There's always an excuse, right? God really has a plan and I was liking His idea.

Yesterday, at the last minute...I asked my Dearpie if I can invite some friends to come over. Here's the story, a friend called asking if where were going to watch the fight. I humbly said that in our very own abode with family since my Dearpie don't want to go to any party for the meantime.

While Hubby and I were having our sweet conversation eating our breakfast, yesterday. He gave me permisssion to invite some friends to join with us. Hmmm...that was nice of him but take note of SOME friends. He thought there were only two but he was surprise at the end...wink! He thinks it was kind of cute in my part...only two visitors...lol! Thank you, Dearpie for your undertstanding mind and heart. Glad your mood swing didn't strike...ahahahha!

I called my dearest friends and they were glad to be watching Pacquiao. Yes, KUMARE, you were in my lists but I undertand your sentiments...lol.

We had what we called the potluck. It's called bring whatever you can and it turned out really fun. We had paksiw na Bangus, Rice Noodles, Pork Humba, Fried Dried Bisugo Fish, Sinigang na Baka, Stylish Adobong Manok, Pinakbet, Fried Talong, Fish Escabeche, and then two different kind of cakes for dessert and sodas too. Just simple cooking from our different kitchen really is yummylicious. That's the beauty and art in potluck!

For the record, Manny won again! My hands and throat were just so soar from clapping and shouting....oh!!!
So far, of all his fights that I have ever seen, last night was the very exciting and thrilling one. They made it up to 12 rounds and opponent Cotto gave up before the last round ended.

Once again, Manny, our country Phlippines is so proud of you. What a victory to the whole Filipino nation.

To a dear friend who invited me and my family to join the fun at the Casino, where the fight of Pacquiao and Cotto was aired and seen in a very big screen TV, thank you so much. Maybe next time.

Let US Not Fail To Remember Them

zwani.com myspace graphic comments

Life has a certain flavor for those who have fought and risked all that the sheltered and protected can never experience. As one of those who has been protected by men and women like you, I can never know what you have experienced--but I am ever grateful that you rose to the occasion. Thank you for serving our Country!

What Are You Thankful For?

Once a year, usually on Thanksgiving Day, I take the time to write a letter to God, thanking Him for specific things in my life.
Sometimes, I'll look back and it's been a rough year, but I still see His hand and kindness.

Usually I end up crying and praying for a long time, realizing how blessed I truly am. What about you?  Will you take some time and tell us a few things you're most thankful for this year?

Give God the Glory!

Great Weekend

We didn't go anywhere special over the weekend but we had so much fun as a family. We took care of some business here and there and we accomplished it with flying colors.

Without God's guidance, I don't know what life looks like. You may notice how I praise the Lord all the time simply, it's because He's moving in our life. He's always there to comfort me/us.

I thank our Pastor in Pinas and the church congregation for their support and prayers. Prayer is powerful and healing is a miracle.

We can't be perfect in serving the Lord but God can see the desire of our hearts. Just pray without ceasing and life is good as long as you serve the one true God.

Enjoy your Monday morning  and be an ambassador of goodwill!

My words of wisdom: Don't be so confident of what you are and what you have in this world. Just be realistic and accept the fact of what kind of life you are living right now. Everything is under control from our Almighty Father.

My prayer:Father in heaven, today I choose to tune out the negative voices of the world. I choose to trust in You even when no one else will. I thank You for the good things You are doing in my life and trust that You will fulfill every promise You’ve made to me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Cheers and God Bless US All!

Take a Minute To Pray

You are more than welcome to pass this on....

Dear Lord, I thank you for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning.. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for Your forgiveness.

Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.

Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. Let me continue to see sin through God's eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth my wrongdoing, and receive the forgiveness of God.

And when this world closes in on me, let me remember Jesus' example -- to slip away and find a quiet place to pray. It's the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will.

Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak. Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those who are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those who are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know You intimately.

I believe that God changes people and God changes things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.

I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight.
I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that confesses them willingly..

This is my prayer.
In Jesus' Name,

Amen..

A Lesson To Learn

Yesterday, our Angelina was grounded and was in time out.

Yes, she likes to go to school but she's kind of la-di-da, la-di-da in moving so we can be ready.

Well, her routine is to take  a morning nap with her Dada. Normal nap pattern is 11:00 AM.

At 12:30 PM, she wakes up and have to eat her lunch. Oh my golly, this eating habit of her's just consume our time. She eats by herself in the kitchen. She sings while eating and playing with her fork and spoon. In other words, I think her time is more on the extra-curricular activities instead of putting the food in her mouth.

So, I finally told her yesterday that she's not going to school if she won't pay attention of what she's doing. She was not happy about it and was in tears because she really want to be at school.

"Tomorrow if you keep up with our time table and schedule, I will take you to school," I told her.

Yes! She made it on time from sleeping, eating, brushing and changing her clothes today.Thank you to Dada for some additional reinforcement and encouragement.

I dropped her off today and the teacher was asking her why she was absent yesterday. She looked at me and I said tell your teacher.

"I was in time out for not keeping up with my routine."

The teacher and her classmates are glad to see Angelina back.

Happy Halloween!

So cute how the kids during the party took their own picture

The Material Girl Dancers! Having so much fun!

Birada jud mga, Mare! Di jud ko kalimot ani nga event in my life.

So funny that all the friendship have bangs...for a change yata!

It's the last day of October and it's HALLOWEEN DAY!

My girl had a cheer leader costume and I'm not sure if she still be wearing it tonight. I'm pretty sure, all the halloween costumes are on sale now and maybe after I get off from work, I will drop by to the store and get one for Angelina.

On the other hand, I was laughing so hard when a friend called me last night. She's inviting me for a bar hopping halloween party.

"Oh my gulay!" that comes out from my mouth. She was not forcing me though because she knows who I am. She was just trying to tempt me and my husband...lolz!

Wrong person and timing, my friend. That's all I can say.
I can't imagine how crowded the bar tonight with all the people in their halloween costumes. Lots of drunk people, per husband.

Anyway, I'm still undecided where to go for our Halloween day. Lots of choices but need topick one or I will be in the limbo after all...wink!

In The Mood

She's a good helper to some extent

Christmas in October

Thank you to my Dearpie for running the snow blower..something to do

I see some but not plenty of opportunities in my end. Sometimes my brain is so lazy to think of something to write on. Just not in the mood to be creative and invent something.

Anyway, I did shovel tons of snow outside our house being Hubby's helper. This time we used our snow blower where Hubby was the driver. I did some clearing in our front porch and back.

Today is very memorable to me. I just lost my black sony camera that I always call my partner in life aside from my Hubby. I think my toy and friend mixed up with the tons of snow. I didn't notice it until I'm about to pulled it out from my coat pocket. Of course, I was kind of sad and we digged all over where I used to shoveled but to no avail.

Maybe, when all the snow will be melting in a day or two, we can find my camera and by that time, it is totally useless. It's not water proof and for sure broke as in sira na talaga. I dropped it so many times already and there was even a dent in it. Sometimes the lens won't open at all so I have to pushed it manually. Hmmm...you think it's about time to get a new one? Well, Christmas is on its way...for the mean time, I used my other Sony silver camera.

Let's Shop Online

Christmas is fast approaching and everyone is in so much joy when this season comes. Gifst and presents are everywhere even from a far away land.

Speaking of gift shopping, there's no need to spend your time hopping from one store to another just to get the great deal and comparison of the price that you want.

Now a days, just a click from your mouse and in the comfort of your home, shopping online is the best solution. You can visit happyspree.com for all your electronics' need. From HDTV, ninetendo, Wii, computers, ipod and so much more.

As you can see on their website, the start price is always lower than the retail price. So, it means that even if you were the first person to click the show price button, that you would already have locked in a substantial dsicount. It is so interesting and even better because every time the show price button is clicked by any happyspree member anywhere, the price of that item drops by 25 cents. Isn't it a very cool deal?

I know, I know, shopping online is addictive but if the price is right, go and grab it.
